bio-resume page pic02...After graduating from college with a degree in biology, Jake decided to pursue his true love, music, and enrolled in the Institute of Audio Research's Engineering and Production program.

While a student, he interned at the illustrious Hit Factory in New York City. Upon graduating IAR, Jake became an assistant engineer at the Hit Factory, and worked with some of the most talented and successful artists, producers, and engineers in music today.

After two and a half years at the Hit Factory, he had the opportunity to apprentice with engineer extraordinaire, Kevin Crouse. Under Kevin's personal tutelage, Jake continued to hone the art of engineering and mixing while working on major label projects. Jake now freelances, carrying on the tradition of diligence and attention to detail in all of his sessions. 

In addition to freelancing, Jake teaches digital audio to students at the Institute of Audio Research.  He also plays drums and writes music for the New York-based rock band, Clyde

As digital audio came to the forefront early in his training, Jake is well versed in software-based systems including ProTools, Logic, and Reason. He is also proficient in analog methods and equipment, having cut his teeth on Neves, SSLs, and Studer tape machines.
